Priority order below reflects stated preferences (21 Aug): clear beginner structure with a follow-up-session path, reachable without a car, open water away from marinas/docks, and an English-friendly (Spanish OK) approach — contact top-down rather than in the order schools were first found.

Status (25 Aug 2026): hotel booked, Garbí lesson booked Fri 28, Shaka Surf on the list

  • Hotel booked: Hotel C31 (Wed 26 → Fri 28 Aug, breakfast incl.) — between the two schools, closer to Garbí.
  • Escola Garbí — BOOKED ✅: Wing Control lesson Fri 28 Aug 16:00 — paid €90.
  • Shaka Surf: on the list for Thu 27 Aug 13:00 — contact them Wed 26 for final confirmation; asked price + card/cash, awaiting reply.
  • 1. Escola Garbí — BOOKED ✅ Fri 28 Aug 16:00, €90 paid. Promoted to top (21 Aug) after a fast, sensible WhatsApp reply: English confirmed, smaller groups (max 2–3/instructor), same good Castelldefels beach.
  • 2. Mojokite — ruled out (24 Aug): replied that they run no wing lessons in summer (busy beaches), restarting only after mid-September — so unavailable for the 26–28 Aug window despite the clear tiered structure and confirmed English instruction. +34 657 488 060 — see Seaside.

Club Nàutic Poblenou — metro-reachable (L4 Poblenou/Llacuna), small groups (max 2) with a clear session-package follow-up path (1/2/3/4+), past the Port Olímpic breakwater so less dock-adjacent than Barceloneta.   • 4. Water Toys Team — most explicit structured curriculum (4-class paddle→eFoil→ wingfoil progression) and metro-reachable (L4 Ciutadella|Vila Olímpica), but sited inside the Port Olímpic marina — the one candidate that directly conflicts with the "away from docks" preference. Shaka Surf — same beach quality as Mojokite/Garbí, but Spanish-only site (weaker English) and may relocate to an unknown spot if there's no wind in Castelldefels that day, undercutting the "no car needed" certainty. Anywhere Water Sports — metro-reachable, but vague course structure (single €30 listing, no stated levels) and Barceloneta sits right next to the Port Vell marina and, beyond it, Barcelona's main port breakwater — the most dock-adjacent option here.   • Windsurf Tarragona / Wingfoil CD Costa Daurada — Reus-area, only relevant if flying into REU instead of BCN (not the current plan, but kept warm).   • Wed 26 Aug: contact Shaka Surf to confirm the Thu 13:00 session is on (weather), and get the price + whether to pay card or cash.
