Alessio's solo start & meeting Elisabeth¶

Not a route option like A/B/C above — this is the piece in between the flight options and the mountain routes: Alessio lands solo, 2 days ahead of Elisabeth, bases near Castelldefels for a wingfoil taster, then the two of them meet up and rent a car together before heading to the mountains. Both of Alessio's flights are now booked — see Flights. What's left open is called out explicitly below.

The shape of it¶

Outbound — booked. easyJet, LGW→BCN, Wed 26 Aug 2026, dep 16:45 → arr 19:55, £87.98 incl. cabin bag — 2 days ahead of Elisabeth's BA486 (LHR→BCN, Fri 28 Aug, dep 19:40 → arr 22:50).
Return — booked. Ryanair FR2566, ZAZ→STN, Tue 8 Sep 2026, dep 15:45 → arr 16:55, €59.49 incl. cabin bag — the near-compliant Tuesday slot (15 minutes short of the "no return before 16:00" rule, accepted as "decently-timed" rather than extending the trip ~2 days for Thursday's fully-compliant 20:45 — see Flights for the full ZAZ→STN weekly pattern this was chosen from).
Base: Castelldefels — booked (Hotel C31). An earlier hotel was booked then cancelled when both Mojokite and Escola Garbí showed no online availability; once Shaka Surf confirmed a Thu 27 slot and Escola Garbí showed availability too, Hotel C31 (Wed 26 → Fri 28 Aug, breakfast incl.) was booked — between the two schools, closer to Garbí, still walkable to Shaka. Wingfoil school: Escola Garbí booked, Shaka Surf still on the list. See TODO → Wingfoil for the full priority-ordered checklist. Escola Garbí — Wing Control lesson booked for Fri 28 Aug 16:00, €90 paid. Shaka Surf has Alessio on the list for Thu 27 Aug 13:00 — contact them Wed 26 for final (weather) confirmation; price + card/cash asked, awaiting reply. Mojokite is ruled out (no wing lessons in summer). The Wind Chasers is ruled out — Albert's reply put the lesson location in Sant Pere Pescador, ~166 km / ~2h13 from Castelldefels, too far without a car. Solo window is Wed 26 – Fri 28 Aug: arriving Wed evening (19:55) leaves 2 full lesson days (Thu 27, Fri 28) before Elisabeth lands Fri evening.
Meeting Elisabeth: at BCN airport — decided. Same airport she lands at, so no separate meet-up trip is needed — just a time gap to fill before her arrival.
Car rental: Centauro quote in hand, pickup Sat 29 Aug 09:30 at Barcelona Sants — see TODO → Car rental. Alessio manages without a car for the 3 solo days at C31 (taxi/rideshare/on foot around Castelldefels — short hops, see Seaside). Elisabeth lands late Fri 28 (22:50) but sleeps that night at a friend's near her uncle's in Vallvidrera, so the Saturday shape is: Alessio checks out of C31, trains up to Sants, picks up the car at 09:30, drives up to Vallvidrera, picks up Elisabeth by 10:30, depart by 11:00. Then straight to Vall de Núria (Plan 01, ~2h03 from Vallvidrera) or La Seu d'Urgell (Plan 02, ~2h15).
Elisabeth's return — booked. Ryanair FR2566, ZAZ→STN, Sun 6 Sep 2026, dep 10:10 → arr 11:15 (price not shared) — the early Sunday slot in the same weekly pattern Alessio's own return came from. This means an overnight in/near Zaragoza on 5 Sep so Alessio can get her to the airport without a brutal wake-up. Car return locked in as Sun 6 09:30 at Zaragoza-Delicias (TODO → Car rental) — Centauro's price is the same whether returned Sat night or Sun morning, and Sunday-morning return means Alessio drops Elisabeth at ZAZ himself before returning the car.
