Places to visit

Brainstorming — ideas and research not yet committed to the Final plan. Sourced from an initial personal wishlist; see the sub-pages below for the four topics it splits into. When a topic spans multiple countries or distinct places, use one sub-page per country/place rather than growing this page into mega-sections (see AGENTS.md).

  • Sightseeing — castles, Romanesque churches, monasteries, villages (Aragón, Vall de Boí, Navarra). Includes a currently-closed flag for San Juan de la Peña (wildfire).
  • Activities — paragliding/buggies, stargazing, guided tours (mostly Valle de Tena).
  • Hiking — the Sant Martí circuit near Taüll, ending at the Pessó lakes.
  • Events & festivals — folk music festivals with 2026 dates, several still unconfirmed — check before locking travel around them.

Reach times across these pages are rough and not yet anchored to a confirmed base — Zaragoza airport is the tentative arrival point for now.
