Places to visit — follow-ups from research

  • Re-check San Juan de la Peña reopening status closer to the trip — closed since ~12 Aug 2026 due to the Las Peñas de Riglos wildfire, no reopening date announced as of 18 Aug 2026.
  • Confirm which structure the "Castle of Canfranc" Maps pin actually points to — the ruined 1592 Castillo de Canfranc or the restored 1876 Torreta de Fusileros (see Sightseeing).
  • Call/email Monasterio de Leyre (+34 948 88 41 50 ext. 1 / visitas@monasteriodeleyre.com) to confirm hours/price — official site didn't render them.
  • Confirm Castillo de Javier opening hours via turismodenavarra.com.
  • Call/WhatsApp Acción Pirineos (+34 650 535 120) to confirm buggy/paragliding pricing and hours, and whether "Rutas en Buggy" is the same listing.
  • Watch for an official 2026 EMTP Graus announcement (dates not yet confirmed — see Events & festivals) before planning around it.
  • Re-check Era Hèsta de Vielha 2026 dates via visitvaldaran.com nearer the trip (currently provisional, based on prior years' pattern).
